Background : Condensing osteitis is characterized by increased radiodensity resulting from localized alterations in bone architecture as a defensive response of host tissue to mild and chronic inflammatory stimuli. Accurate diagnosis of radiopaque jaw lesions is essential for determining appropriate treatment, as definitive diagnosis may require histopathological examination through bone biopsy. Purpose : To report a case of condensing osteitis in the mandibular first permanent molar and emphasize the role of histopathological examination in establishing a definitive diagnosis.
